The finals, I don't think so. I thought Kazoo was the best team this season and they have done nothing to change my opinion. I think Oliver getting hurt made them a stronger team. I would be shocked if they didn't win it. Also coach they get great coaching.
Douglass and Sexton are clicking. Lots of games inside the games. Not sure of the matchups because I'm not the coach but: Suttles vs. Richardson. Wade vs. Hogan or Valentine vs. Hogan or Bates vs. Wade. Armstrong vs. Forbes or Armstrong vs. Clemons or Caine vs.Armstrong. Gaston vs. Caine .....how about a great game?

Should be a very good game and neither team should look past the game at hand.
Ann Arbor Huron in Class A also made it all year these guys have lost respect after losing to romulus. They play Arthur hill in the quarters they can really make noise with their fullcourt pressing defense. They can give arthur hill problems with their size length and athleticsm
Denby vs. Pershing IMO was similar to the Inkster-Romulus game last Friday. They had the athletes and players to beat the competition.

Sykes was VERY impressive. Michigan, Arkansas, South Florida, and Georgia are in his recruiting mix. Michigan and Arkansas were on hand tonight.

Wayne State, Siena Heights, Henry Ford, Kalamazoo Valley, and Mott were in the house as well.
What a masterful game from the Tars, and Isaish Sykes as he was the best baller on the floor tonight, as Denby upset Pershing by 20

The game was close through out the first half, and Sykes went down with a apparent ankle injury at the end of the first half and Denby holding a one point lead, then in the third qtr Mr Sykes came back on the floor, but not before his teamates led by strongman Derrick Barden out physicaling the Doughboys with strong play in the paint, and Antoine Cleary hitting some deep threes and the Tars were up by double digits.

Pershing could never get into the flow of the game as there three point & outside shooting was horrendous as they couldnt throw it in the ocean tonight, Keiths jumper was off as well as the rest of the team and they did not attack the hoop as they should have with the outside shots not falling.

Once Denby got up by double digits it was over!!!! as the Tars could do no wrong and ran the Doughboys out the gym as Pershing kept jacking up the three pointers Denby put on a dunk show at the end of the game as they broke the Pershing press.

Brandon Williams had a excellent game but it was Mr Sykes who put on the show tonight.

If Denby plays this way in the next week, look for them to advance to lansing as they are physical, strong, and have the will to make a run at the title as playing in the tough eastside division of the PSL has payed dividens and they are ready to take on all comers!!!!!
Inkster missed a lot of layups. Similarly, Ypsilanti High in their last game against Ypsilanti Lincoln, missed a lot of layups. Not sure if Lincoln does the old "poke in the stomach" or what. I do know they fly around to try to block shots which may cause players to rush the layup.

Inkster was down in the fourth quarter but Lincoln's coach pulled the kid that was leading them in scoring after the kid got ripped. For that 2-3 minute stretch that Wesley sat on the bench, Lincoln didn't score from the field. Inkster made their run to tie it up and take the lead at that point. By the time Wesley came back in, after paying the bench penalty for getting ripped, Inkster had the momentum.

The other thing in the game is the refs were calling a lot more stuff. The Wayne Memorial district was not called as close as they let the game be physical due the teams playing aggressive defense. At Carlson, there were a lot more touch calls which throws off your game when you have to back up defensively.

The Kennedy vs. Lincoln Park game had over 20 calls in the first half.

Tillmon has more work to do. He looks big but doesn't seem like he has learned to apply himself. He did have one really nice block where he tracked down a Kennedy kid that was on a fast break.
