|
|
| Scout's Michigan board has Dwaun Anderson visiting Michigan today. There's been a lot of increasing interest in this Bell Northern Michigan fella. Suppose to be the whole enchilada at 6'3" ish, and maybe a great guard fit for Beilein's Magic Bus! Lotta folks say he's the best in 2011 by far and a lot. Some even say he's ultimately in college better than any in the guard 1/2/3 trifecta of Zeigler/MacCallum/Appling. PFoidoid hasn't seent this fella yet but will. So until that Hoops Truth evaluation comes out at some later date, what's your take on this fella! |

Just goes to show that no matter where you live or what league that you play in if you have D-1 talent they will find you and you will be discovered, Suttons Bay Mi??? and then we have to read all that non-sense about a Urban Legend named Hutson from Wyandotte who Gossip Girl Rudy says was over looked??? by all the D-1 programs. If you got game they will find you if you dont well!!!!!!!
Maybe this Hutson guy is a real person who flunked out of high school and is now working flipping burgers at Watkins Hamburger joint on Biddle & Davis in beautiful downtown WYYYYYANDOTTE!!!!!!! |

.... video on this young fella. So FTN watched. FTN would say not a stretch at all for 2011 if Zeigler/MacCallum/Appling are currently in order 1/2/3 respectively in 2010 for Mr. Basketball by comparison. Real good quickness mixed with athleticism, and FTN like that he knows how to use his quickness to create space for a very nice stroke on his lefty shot. Like how he rises first and then finds the rim! That's stuff not to many fellas get taught anymore, so kudos to Sutton's Bay coach and Bell's travel team coach. That release could be a training video, kinda like a black Jack Marin don't you know! Quick backstep and release and drill from anywhere makes covering quick moves to the rack real hard as combo option! Nice to have the gifts and tools to be able to threaten going to or away from the rim, as in defenders obviously are befuddled choosing which one it will be! Nice court sense and sees the floor well and knows where to move himself so he gets opponents to follow just to get his teammates open. Very nice! Won't see that in the "athletic" PSL, will ya' ConyersLadder! Shit, if he was 313 ball hogging in the PSL he'd score 40 a game, you know that's true! One thing is his handle is quick but too high and reduces his quickness. FTN says regimen of eye's shut on all dribble one and two ball handling drills, never dribbling above the knee or what's the point! Feel the ball just as it comes off the floor don't you know! That'll solve that! Didn't see any defense on the videos but if someone tells this kid defense is offense with the ball starting in the opponents hands, and it'll get you ten more per game on steal/dunk/convert, well you can see by his swagger he likes to score!! A kid FTN says Beilein should offer ASAP. More than nullifies Izzo future favorite son Appling for sure!
ConyersLadder, you're a knucklehead. It might be that this kid would be good enough for Beilein to show interest if he was to just play high school ball and some development AAU/AYBT ball, but seems prophetically true to FTN absolutely nobody knew about Anderson at all until Bell took it upon himself to start a little hype rag mentoring via exposing him to the circuit and taking him around to scouted events and promoting him a bit. All the sudden "BAM". He's obviously still underscouted given what others have got for scholarships by comparison. A best kept secret.
BTW FTR FTN says Hutson back in the day was definitely better than Dwan Anderson and all the 2010 Trifecta, no knock on Dwan and Ziegler/MacCallum/Appling but still no question for those that know hoops! Basically a better shooting Dwan/Zeigler/MacCallum/Appling with more ups and better handles and 2 more inches than all. But Hutson never did the scouted circuit, not a one. Played with his Wyandotte fellas! And say wasn't everyone prep better across the board back in 2003 - 2006? You bet!

.. you need to get out to Wyandotte more. Watkins is gone, done, kaput! A real sad day for Wyandotte. Some medical center took it's place. Ah the memories! Absolutely nothing like hitting Watkins at 3 or 4 am to see the local color and strangos come out! SHEESH! You were probably one of them Village People LadderConyers, dressed to impress in your full fire fighting suit with fireman's hardhat on just to eat your burger! Nifty!

| If Beilein don't get Trey Zeigler and Dwan Anderson as future backourt tandem. Now WHAT IF CMU's Coach Zeigler lands his boy Trey to go along with Dwan Anderson as a top national backcourt tandem, and already having a Voss as frontcourter, along with some of the et al already there. Shit man, CMU would be looking at about four years of NCAA bound, with maybe 2 of deep penetration into the tourney, maybe with the prestige another impact frontcourter or two and all the sudden Final Four ish a couple years and National Champ capable in maybe one of those four. FTN's head is spinning! Man, IF FTN was Coach Zeigler, he'd be talking package deal that included his son as part of the package, or no dinner for his son until he agrees! Zeigler was first out of the box with Love for Dwan Anderson, and if that loyalty sticks well Anderson might appreciate that almost as much as Trey so Loves his Dad! Just an out of the box thought on building a dynasty at CMU that hasn't been seen since Roundfield/McElroy days!! What say you?? |

... from Mlive's MSU hoops forum on this very subject:
51547. D. Anderson- SIAP
by greenskies, 10/19/09 19:23 ET
Looks like 2011 wing Dwuan Anderson from Suttons Bay is starting to blow up. He played real well recently at the Styles 3 Showcase in Midland. According to Rivals' Brian Snow:
"Anderson is 6-foot-3 with freaky athleticism and a high motor. Consistently Anderson would attack the glass on the offensive end and dunk home misses with authority. Also he has an adequate handle on the perimeter that allows him to get to the rim and finish around the bucket against taller defenders. Beyond that, Anderson showed good form from deep, and while he didn't take many jumpers, he did make a majority of them. Overall he had the look of a no doubt high-major player, and someone who is primed to explode onto the national radar." |

... CMU could add Midland's 7 footer Brandon Crane to Voss in the Frontcourt. That's be nice! According to Bankhoops Bell, at Syles Crane showed he really improving:
Brandon Crane 7-0 Sr Midland
Damn those 7-footers. Just when you're about to close the book on one of 'em, he comes out and plays his ass off. He went head-to-head with another skinny, mobile, potential guy in 6-9 Detroit Renaissance junior Michael Hundley -- who will be a high-major recruit by next summer -- and Crane bested him. He worked hard for the ball every time down, and had teammates willing to pitch it in. Crane's post game has improved, as well as his overall shooting mechanics. He and Hundley were made for each other, both clocking in at under 200 lbs. |

... steal FTN's post points and write them down as their own, no credit given! Annoying? Yes! But a compliment from lesser minds:

CMU is on a bit of a roll, right now. If they can land Ziegler and Anderson they could make some serious waves. |

| He has said publicly that he wants to attend Michigan State or Central Michigan.... seems to be checking out other schools like Michigan and Dayton more so because he is a nice kid who doesn't want to tell people "no"... time will tell. |

| Dwaun Anderson is very skilled. I really like his game the third best guard after Brundidge and Kearney. |
